is there a way to make a private discussion forum

Is there a way to create a private discussion forum? My network which was just recently featured on ning has the main page open to the public. I don't know how to make a private forum for our community.

Hi Alexis, What you may try is to create your own group in the Ning community. As long as your Ning network has groups featured in the tabs.

Select Groups, then Add a new group. Select the preferred Privacy option of your choice when constructing it. You can then enable the option that does not allow people to invite others. However, your discussion forum may still be seen by members of the Ning site. To reply to the discussion folks need to join your group - that may then be controlled by you. You should also have the right to delete those who don't belong - just in case of spammers.
