- About Me:
- I am currently working for CIT Solution (CITSOL) as their online Manager. CITSOL is the commercial arm of the Canberra Institute of Technology. I got involved with online teaching/ learning when I was teaching Commercial Cookery at CIT. I utilised WebCT to enhance my f2f classes and give students the opportunity to access their learning material in a different and innovative way. From there on I got more and more involved in online teaching/ learning. In 2006 I was the ACT Toolbox Champion and introduced Educators in the State to the concept of Flexible Learning Toolboxes. I've just recently moved to Adelaide. I basically utilise the online environment on a daily bases to communicate with colleagues in Canberra and execute my work. I am using mainly Elluminate (vRoom) and Google Talk. Our online LMS is WebCT.
In my free time (if there is any) I love spending time with my 3 year old son Raphael and my wife Kate. When my batteries are running on very low there is only one way to recharge them and that is going for a good fish!

- I am interested in anything that helps teachers in their teaching envirnoment and students in their learning environment. Any tool that can help either group to make teaching/ learning fun and a positive experience.

thanks for your reply re the podcasts.
I was aware of podomatic but as indicated to Frank its a case of one thing at a time and tryinig to fit them in amongst the other duties one is expected to do. I really should be doing more of the test & try stuff at home to get more "under my belt" but ...
Making some sort of podcast that is meaningful for students is next on my list so I'm sure podomatic is not far away!!

Glad this is one of your favourite online tools :) The key with managing the information from this site is to send the RSS feeds from the Forum and Blog through to a Feed Reader like Google Reader or Bloglines. This means that the information comes to you and you do not need to keep coming back to the site to find out the latest information.
If you are not using a Feed Reader and want help with learning how to please let me know as I am happy to provide assistance!
