Therese Sheck Here we go

I am not very creative in writing and putting thoughts to paper, so Twitter I have read is good for me, I am starting to get overloaded with all the technology that is around on these sites, but I still find myself dipping in and out of forums and wiki sites, trying to gather as much information as possible so I can shortcut through the maze, as other people have trialled and written about their experiences.

Lance Treloar New Blog Spot

Well I have taken some good advice on board and set up a blog in the big wide world (yes Sue - it is with edublog, so you don't need to hurt me) :) It is called "Looking Forward: tentative steps into web 2.0 and social networking" and can be found at http://lance.edublogs.org/ So the journey will continue... Lance Treloar Emerging From The Shadows

I was following a thread on the Edna Groups boards a little while back where there was some robust discussion around those who follow discussion but do not interact or get involved. Yes, that dreaded and much feared creature: the “Lurker”.

Brian Mobbs First Blog post

I have discovered that there are blogs within the ning community, so I have really created this post for my own curiosity.
I have been discussing some ideas of etools within the trades, with Frank, and it was only today I realised I was posting comments on his blog and correspondance was happening via his blog. I found this interesting.
Would it be correct to assume that topics of discussion are put forward to the forum area of the ning, which are openly commented on, but manifest to ot… Continue

Rachel Moore Learning to crawl

Ok - have had a small realisation today.....

I am trying to run, when I haven't even learned how to crawl (let alone walk :) ) My enthusiasm for the possibilities of online learning for both my students at TAFE and the staff in my primary workplace has outstripped my ability, knowledge and understanding :) This is a bad habit of mine - I have always been like a bull at a gate when an idea strikes :)

So, rather than try and jump into designing e-learning programs (I was hoping to…

Lance Treloar Round 2

Well, here I am again, less than 24 hours later. Who would have guessed?

Actually, this was going to be part of a reply to a comment that Sue left on my first post, but after it started to get a bit long I thought to myself, “

Lance Treloar Pride and Predjudice

So, here I am. Writing a Blog entry.

I hear deep breathing and an ominous, gasping voice whispering to me, "Welcome to the Dark Side".

I have never written a blog and have spent very little time even

Rachel Moore My first blog

Not a very original title for my first blog - I am sure!

Well - this does seem a little strange, like writing a public diary. Not sure what I will learn by writing a blog, but I am finding out that I have a lot to learn about many tools so am sure that it will become clear :)

I am happy as I seem to have loaded google reader and set up some subscriptions, including the Ning community etools and tips and Sue's page.

Sue - if you are reading this, the information that I am…

Carole McCulloch EDAYZ 2007

Just finished two days of exciting and engaging activities, presentations and workshops at TAFE SA's seventh annual EDAYZ event held at the Gillies Plain campus. It is always a great buzz for me to meet and greet old friends and to make new ones. I loved being able to add to my networking once more and to develop some new relationships and to share my particular elearning passions with new people - or new nodes in my network - as Howard Rheingold would say.

I enjoyed listening and talk…

Frank Guerin Post e-dayz 07

My 1st blog. Woo hoo

Following the inspiration of e-dayz I have decided I've spent enough time researching etc, I must make a start.

My proposal is:

On 1st attendance for 1st year apps (as well as the normal induction stuff), I will have them sign up to my moodle site, demo it, and demo photostory (or similar). They will have access to moodle as an option to workbooks, etc, and they will be required to make DST of some tasks both in TAFE and workplace. This will be pa… Continue

Sue Waters Why You Should Use The Blog Feature At Ning

A blog is an online journal where entries (called posts) are written in chronological order with the most recent at the top of the blog. Anyone can set up a blog and there are lots of sites that will host your blog for free.

Blogging is about extending conversations, on topics
